WASRG wouldn’t be possible without our members.  All of our activities wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers.  We want to continue to provide fresh, exciting, educational and fun events for our membership.  That means we need your help!  Please consider joining WASRG as a member of one of our volunteer committees.  We would love some fresh talent to help us make 2009 a stellar year!

Membership/Marketing Committee – Expand your networking universe and share the benefits of WASRG with colleagues and contacts in the Washington, DC metro area by serving on this committee.  If you weren’t recruited to join, well, you wouldn’t be here today benefiting from your WASRG membership.

Educational/Speakers Bureau Committee – The Education committee has a solid track record of scheduling top speakers to share balanced information on not only topical, but emerging issues of the day.  This well-organized committee has a proven formula for minimizing logistical set-up and allows members who serve to focus on developing content and selecting speakers.  The Speakers Bureau will expand your ‘who do you know’ list while helping the committee recruit recognized leaders in state government relations.  Already on the fast track in scheduling for the 2009 WASRG season, this committee seeks more members.

Special Events/Summit – Wine tasting in the vineyard, the Welcome Back reception at the Canadian Embassy, Continental Pool Lounge, Bank of America Building, hockey games, crab fests and impromptu happy hours are just some of the special events that have been planned in the past years by this fun group.  The Annual Summit is the premier event on the WASRG Calendar.  We will be changing the format for this year and we need volunteers to play a role in planning and execution.  We can never have too many volunteers!
