The WASRG Award recognizes a member who demonstrates excellence in the profession of state government affairs and whose leadership has contributed to WASRG’s ongoing success.

Award Criteria:

• Past and current member of WASRG
• Served in a leadership position, including, but not limited to the following examples:
• • Has served as a member of the WASRG Board of Directors
  • Member of WASRG Committee
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a WASRG project or activity
• Current and past commitment to attending WASRG events
• Demonstrates excellence in the profession of State Government Affairs
• Has the qualities of a role model for the State Government Affairs profession

At the January 30, 2013 Annual Meeting and lunch, WASRG recognized three past presidents, Carla Lochiatto (with ASAE), Jim Brown (Capital One) and Chaz Cirame (cc: External Affairs).

The 2011 award was presented to Leif Johnson of KSE Focus.  Leif served as president of the Washington Area State Relations Group in 2009 and previously served as vice president and as a member of the organization's Board of Directors.
