Katie Gage Packer

Katie Packer Gage is the President and a Founding Partner of WWP Strategies, an Alexandria, Virginia based issue management and political consulting firm.

Katie has worked on campaigns at every level from state legislative and gubernatorial to U.S. Senate and Presidential.

In 1996, she served as Michigan State Director for the Dole for President Campaign.  Following that, she was Executive Director of the Michigan Senate Republican Campaign Committee when Republicans saw historic gains in their majority.

Katie worked as Deputy Campaign Manager and as a Senior Aide to U.S. Senator Spence Abraham (R-MI) and went on to serve as a Senior Advisor when he became U.S. Secretary of Energy in 2000.

In 2006, she joined the Romney team and began laying the groundwork for Mitt Romney’s 2008 Presidential campaign, overseeing the successful Michigan primary campaign that year.

In 2008, Katie started the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI).  WFI is dedicated to voter education and grassroots mobilization on issues related to workplace fairness.  WFI succeeded in mobilizing opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act, a federal bill initiated by Big Labor to eliminate the secret ballot in workplace elections.  WFI continues to be a leading voice in opposing Big Labor’s agenda in workplace matters and Katie serves on the board and plays an active role.

In 2012, she was Deputy Campaign Manager of the Romney for President Campaign.

In 2013, Katie founded Burning Glass Consulting, a collaborative team of GOP operatives made up entirely of women, focusing on changing the way the Republican Party messages to women.
